About Zeashaan Akhmed

Zeashaan Akhmed is a Patent Attorney with almost a decade of experience spanning both private practice and in-house intellectual property roles. He combines a strong engineering background with commercial IP expertise, helping businesses identify, protect and maximise the value of their innovations.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Zeashaan is experienced in understanding complex technologies and translating them into robust intellectual property strategies. His practical, commercially focused approach enables him to work closely with inventors, engineers and business leaders to secure meaningful protection that supports long-term commercial objectives.

Experience

Before joining Panoramix IP, Zeashaan held intellectual property roles with leading international organisations including Rolls-Royce, Ford Motor Company, Alstom Power and the Science and Technology Facilities Council.

At Rolls-Royce, he worked in IP strategy and patent data analysis, helping to inform decisions around technology investment, portfolio development and corporate transactions. During his time at Ford, he collaborated closely with engineers and inventors across mechanical, automotive, digital and software technologies, supporting innovation from concept through to patent protection.

Zeashaan has extensive experience supporting the drafting and prosecution of UK, European and US patent applications across a wide range of technical disciplines.

Outside of work

Away from the office, Zeashaan enjoys tutoring maths and science, helping students develop confidence in STEM subjects. He also coaches junior football and enjoys supporting young people both on and off the pitch.
