About Kevin Hanson
Kevin is the Managing Director of Panoramix, an experienced intellectual property lawyer trusted by SMEs, entrepreneurs, and global enterprises. Before his legal career, he worked as an engineer for 10 years, providing him with valuable technical insight for complex patent matters. He is a second-career lawyer with 14 years’ experience in IP, covering patents, trade marks, designs, and overall IP strategy.
Kevin developed a patents practice at a leading national UK law firm and later served as a senior lawyer at a US-headquartered firm. In 2022, he founded Panoramix in Lincoln with a vision to provide clear, commercially focused IP advice to innovative businesses. His goal is to help clients efficiently and cost-effectively secure, defend, and monetise their intellectual property.
Kevin holds unique qualifications, setting him apart with triple credentials: he is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney, a Solicitor of England & Wales, and a California Attorney. These qualifications grant him extensive practice rights across the UK, Europe, and the US. He frequently advises clients on US patent and trade mark matters, holds direct practice rights before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and has a right of audience in the UK civil courts, California State Courts and US Federal Courts.
Kevin can help with patent, trade mark, and design filings, IP audits, trade mark oppositions and cancellations, IP infringement matters, commercial contracts, and IP portfolio management.
Over the years, Kevin has supported a wide range of clients from individuals to multi-billion dollar revenue corporations. He has also worked across a range of industry fields, including automotive, media, sports, entertainment, medical devices, and aerospace. He also works with many clients introduced by Innovate UK Edge, the Department of Business and Trade, and Invest UK.
